Celebrating the 150 years of Polytechnique Montreal in style

Polytechnique is the oldest French-speaking university in North America, so we couldn’t overlook the 150th anniversary of this Montreal institution. As part of the festivities surrounding this anniversary, Polytechnique Montréal wanted to produce an ad with a very special mandate: to show Polytechnique’s influence on our daily lives.

The aim of this video was not to show the past achievements of the last 150 years, but rather a forward-looking and inspiring vision for the existing Polytechnique community and its future students. To achieve this, Bien Joué opted for a more poetic and emotional concept, combining a voice over written and recited by slammer Antoine Leclerc and images of the Polytechnique Montréal community’s great achievements. Also, its non-standard ratio for advertising (2:35 instead of 16:9) gives it a more cinematic aesthetic and quickly sets the video apart from others.
